Of the 74,686 total enrolled voters for the City of Tea Tree Gully, only 19,594 voted, so only 26.24% took the time to post in their ballot paper. This means that we had the second lowest turn out for any council area in the state, only beating City of Onkaparinga who had 25.65% with 33,732 of 131,498 enrolled voting. This needs to change and I want to work on new ways to increase voter turnout.
